Mazda American Credit Offers Payment Deferrals to Central Florida Customers

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 3 -- Mazda American Credit announced today that customers in Central Florida affected by Hurricane Charley may defer their automobile payments through the company's Disaster Relief Program.

"Hurricane Charley hit Central Florida hard and we realize many customers have been impacted. This program gives customers some breathing room while they rebuild," said Andy Menzyk, President of Mazda American Credit.

Under the program, MAC customers may defer up to two monthly payments without paying extension fees. Deferred payments will be due at the end of the contract term. Customers living in 25 Central Florida counties may be eligible because of extensive damage in the area.

Eligible MAC customers should receive letters within the next few weeks with instructions on how to apply. Customers who have not received a letter, but believe they qualify, may inquire about the program by calling Mazda American Credit toll-free at 1-800-945-4000. Customers must apply for the program by October 23, 2004.

In addition to any other applicable incentive programs, Mazda North American Operations is offering $750 off the purchase price of any 2004 or 2005 vehicle for residents of the same Central Florida counties whose vehicle was totaled by Tropical Storm Bonnie or Hurricane Charley.

Mazda American Credit works with Mazda dealerships to provide their customers with vehicle financing. A full-service financing resource, MAC provides a range of services to Mazda dealerships, businesses and commercial fleet customers.
