Korean Industry Leader, Hyundai Mobis, Selects Aventail Ex-1500 SSL VPN for Secure Remote Access
Aventail's SSL VPN Enables Hyundai Mobis to Reduce Costs, Increase Productivity, and Improve Customer Service
SEATTLE, Aug. 31 -- Hyundai Mobis, Korea's leading automotive parts manufacturer, has selected and deployed the Aventail(R) EX-1500(TM) SSL VPN appliance to provide its employees secure remote access across its entire network. Aventail, the leading SSL VPN product company, worked with its local Korean partner, WaveTech Korea, to deliver its SSL VPN solution to Hyundai Mobis. This deal adds to Aventail and WaveTech's growing customer base in Korea, which also includes KTF, Namyang Aloe, and Hanil Construction.
Hyundai Mobis needed to find a solution that would allow its staff the flexibility to work from home and when traveling, while still offering the highest level of security to access critical applications, such as its dedicated groupware, design information system, business messenger, and video conferencing system. Hyundai Mobis chose the Aventail SSL VPN solution because of Aventail's market leadership and ability to fulfill its strict security requirements, according to the company.
Specifically, Hyundai Mobis selected Aventail for these key reasons: 1. Aventail end point control features that provide the highest level of security for application access. 2. Aventail is the only SSL VPN vendor that offers a full VPN experience via three access options, browser-based access, Aventail(R) OnDemand(TM), and Aventail(R) Connect(TM), which provide secure access to the widest range of applications from any device. 3. The Aventail EX-1500 SSL VPN appliance includes support for an integrated active/active high availability cluster configuration with built-in load balancer.
"Hyundai Mobis is one of the pioneers in deploying cutting-edge technology to grow its business and improve productivity. They saw the value of the EX-1500 SSL VPN appliance, which provides the functionality remote users need without the complexity and cost commonly associated with IPSec VPNs," said Michael Ang, vice president of Asia-Pacific at Aventail. "Aventail's enterprise-class SSL VPN solutions are being deployed across Korea and the Asia-Pacific region to help customers improve their operational efficiency and the productivity of mobile workers."
WaveTech Korea is part of a growing group of Aventail channel partners around the world. Aventail currently works with partners across the Asia Pacific region, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
