USAA Named a Best Employer by LATINA Style for the Fourth Time
SAN ANTONIO--Aug. 3, 20040, 2004--For the fourth consecutive year, USAA has been named to the "LATINA Style 50" list of the best employers for Hispanic females. The annual list is considered to be the most respected evaluation of corporate America's policies and practices pertaining to Hispanic working women.Hispanic females make up 21 percent of USAA's 21,000-employee workforce. Nationally, there are 6.8 million Hispanic women working in the United States, which represents about 4.7 percent of the total U.S. workforce, according to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics.
At USAA, Latina women hold positions throughout the company, in USAA Property and Casualty Group, USAA Life Insurance, USAA Investment Management Company, USAA Federal Savings Bank, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Community Relations, and Human Resources.
