A taste of dry Champagne at Mosport!
Roth wins Formula Senior – Champagne uses strategy and speed to win Rotax 
Max Senior

MOSPORT, ONTARIO – Fonthill’s Matt Champagne used strategy and speed to lap 
all but the top seven drivers in the Rotax Max Senior final. On a wet, but 
drying track, Champagne opted for dry tires and that, along with pure speed 
gave him the win. Formula Senior was clean swept by Newmarket’s Mike Roth. 
Adriano Bilotta won World Formula Senior, while Jennifer Rempel won Canada 
Senior Heavy, and Rob Oakman won Canada Senior Light.

Formula Senior - Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Mike Roth, Newmarket, 
Ontario
Mike Roth enjoyed a heated battle with Etobicoke’s Robert Wickens in the 
pre-final, with Roth taking the win. In third was Brampton’s Trevor Daley. 
Roth completed the clean sweep with a dominating win in the final over 
Daley and Matt Pritiko – who came from 19th on the grid.

RotaxMax Senior - Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Marc Stehle, Windsor 
Ontario
Stehle went on to win the pre-final ahead of Etobicoke’s Robert Wickens and 
Fonthill’s Matt Champagne. In a wet final, Champagne played the ‘dry tire’ 
card to perfection and took home a dominating win – lapping up to 8th 
place. Second went to Wickens and third was Stehle.

World Formula Senior- Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Paul Carvalho, 
Gilford, Ontario
Carvahlo took the pre-final over Maple’s Adriano Bilotta and Beamsville’s 
Alan Dunning. Bilotta took the final over Carvahlo and Corey Usher.

Canada Senior Heavy – Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Aaron de Heus, 
Uxbridge, Ontario
De Heus suffered a mechanical problem in the pre-final which let Belle 
River’s Dave Patrick take the win over Andrew Mason from Markham. Mr. 
Brydges’ Cole Pearn was third. Jennifer Rempel won the final over Mascoll 
and Mike Rogers.

Canada Senior Light – Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Marco Di Leo, 
Markham, Ontario
Pickering’s Rob Oakman took the pre-final and final race wins. In the 
pre-final, Whitby’s Justin Mascoll and Markham’s Marco Di Leo finished 
second and third. In the final, those final two podium spots went to Marc 
Stehle and Markham’s Sal Ditta.


The objective of the SRFKC is to help foster a professional environment for 
kart drivers; help create a positive attitude towards appearance, conduct 
and discipline; help foster the employment of the best practices for the 
safe and fair running of competitions; and help kart drivers to move up the 
racing ladder to automobile racing.
