RAIN PUTS CYWINSKI ON POLE FOR ASA LESTER BUILDINGS 200

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (August 28, 2004) - The rain cleared away from The Milwaukee Mile long enough for the
ASA National Tour cars to take an 80 minute practice session, but it didn't stay away long enough for
qualifying to be held. ASA officials were forced to set the field partially by owner points, putting Kevin Cywinski
on the pole for tomorrow's running of the Lester Buildings 200.

The starting lineup will consist of the top 34 cars lining up according to 2004 owner points, and Mike Eddy, as
a past series champion, will start in the 35th spot. For those cars not already in the field, ASA and The
Milwaukee Mile officials added four positions to the starting lineup and the cars starting from 36th to 40th will be
gridded according to a two-lap qualifying run. The schedule has been altered to have a qualifying session
tomorrow at 11:15 a.m. CDT.

This qualifying format has been used in the ASA National Tour previously at the Minnesota State Fair, and it
was determined to be a fair compromise to the 51 entries, many who did not have enough owner points to
automatically make the field.

The start of the Lester Buildings 200 has been pushed back to approximately 3:30 p.m. CDT
