Polaris Opens New Training Facility; SUNY Canton To House Company's Fourth Dealer Training Center in the Country

MINNEAPOLIS--Aug. 2, 20047, 2004--Polaris Industries this week announced plans to establish a dealer training center at the State University of New York campus in Canton, N.Y. The facility, which will continue to house the University's motorsports performance and repair certification program, will also accommodate Polaris dealer training courses year-round.

Through Polaris' Master Service Dealer Training Program, dealers from across the country spend four to five days in training courses for servicing Polaris ATVs, RANGERs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft and Victory motorcycles. SUNY Canton's state-of-the-art lab facility, ease of access and location were major draws for the company to locate there.

"We're very excited to open our newest dealer training center in Canton," said Karl Iverslie, Manager, Tech Service and Warranty, at Polaris. "The University has been great to work with, and its facilities are perfect for our program. With hundreds of Polaris dealers in the northeastern part of the country also made our decision to locate in Canton an easy one."

Polaris currently conducts dealer training courses at Central Tech in Drumright, Okla., at the Polaris America dealership in Conyers, Ga., and at Polaris headquarters in Medina, Minn.

By hosting the program on its campus, SUNY Canton will have access to Polaris products for use in its own certification program.

"It's been great to welcome Polaris to our University, and we're eager to begin working with the company as its program takes shape," said Mark Hill, powersports instructor at SUNY Canton.
