XM Satellite Radio 2004 Firestone Indy 225 Fact Sheet

Who: #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Bryan Herta
What: Firestone Indy 225, Round 13 of the Indy Racing League® IndyCar® Series
Where: Nazareth Speedway, Nazareth, Pa.
When: Sunday, August 29, 2004
Television: ABC (Live), 2 p.m. (EDT)

Bryan Herta on the Firestone Indy 225:
"I've always liked Nazareth. It's a place I've been racing at since the early '90s, so I've
got more than a decade there. To me it's one of the most fun ovals to qualify on because you've
got three very distinct corners. The problem has always been that it's difficult to pass during a
race. But, I enjoy Nazareth and I'm looking forward to going back one last time in the XM
Satellite Radio car, especially because I know it's important to Mike (Michael Andretti). It's his
hometown. We've had a great season, but I'm not sure that the season will be complete if we
don't bring him a win in his hometown."

Bryan Herta Facts
Herta enters Nazareth ranked ninth in the IndyCar Series point standings, 11 points
behind eighth-place driver Vitor Meira and 24 points behind fifth-place driver
      Sam Hornish Jr.
Herta drove to a third-place finish at Nazareth in 2003 in a substitute role for Dario
      Franchitti.
The driver of the XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone is coming off a ninth-place
finish in the Honda Indy 225 - his sixth top-10 result in the past seven races.
Herta has scored three top-five finishes this season, including a pair of fourth-place
finishes at Indianapolis (May 30) and at Richmond (June 26).
Herta's best start in the IndyCar Series came at Nashville Superspeedway (July 17) when
he wheeled the #7 XM Satellite Radio entry from the inside of the second row.
Herta has one IndyCar Series victory, which came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.
Herta has three career major open-wheel racing wins and seven poles.

George Klotz, Team Manager,
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Firestone Indy 225:
"We have a very good car to come into the weekend with and a good base to work from.
Every week we seem to be closer to getting what we want out of the #7 XM Satellite Radio car.
We just have to keep doing what we're doing and we'll get into the winner's circle."
