Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Announces Grand Opening of Gift Shop

 

CONCORD, N.C., (August 23, 2004) --- NASCAR fans now have a new venue to visit in the greater Charlotte, N.C. region. Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates announced today the grand opening of its new gift shop located inside the NASCAR team's new race headquarters near the Concord Regional Airport in Concord, N.C.

 

In addition to a full line of merchandise for NASCAR drivers Sterling Marlin, Jamie McMurray and Casey Mears, the gift shop also offers a glimpse into the organization's other racing entities. IRL and Grand Am merchandise is also on display and available for purchase. 

 

For fans wanting an up close and personal look at a race car, the gift shop houses an Indy Racing League (IRL) and a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup show car. There is also a large viewing platform that allows fans access to witness crew members working on and assembling race cars.

 

To further enhance the experience, several large flat-screen televisions are viewable to help provide an historical background on Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates and its stable of drivers.

 

A 10% discount will be offered to any current member of the Sterling Marlin, Jamie McMurray and Casey Mears official fan clubs. Fan club members must present a membership card to obtain the discount.

 

Cash, checks and credit cards are acceptable methods of payment.

Directions:

 

From Lowe's Motor Speedway - 

                Turn onto Speedway Boulevard (directly in front of Lowe's Motor Speedway). Follow this road past Concord Mills and to the end of the road. This is Derita Road. Take a right onto Derita. Continue on past Concord Regional Airport approximately 1 ½ miles. Take a right onto Westmoreland Drive. Chip Ganassi Racing is the only building on this road. 

 

From I 85 South - 

                Take the Speedway Boulevard exit. Turn right onto Speedway Boulevard and pass Concord Mills. Continue on until you reach the end of Speedway Blvd. and take a right onto Derita Road. Continue past Concord Regional Airport approximately 1 ½ miles. Turn right onto Westmoreland Drive. Chip Ganassi Racing is the only building on this road. 

 

From I 85 North - 

                Take the Speedway Blvd. exit. Turn left onto Speedway Boulevard and pass Concord Mills. Continue on until you reach the end of Speedway Blvd. and take a right onto Derita Road.
