PJ Wins Third In A Row

PIP August 22, 2004; The AP reported that P.J. Chesson became the third driver in Menards Infiniti Pro Series history to win three straight races, taking the checkered flag in the Pikes Peak 100 on Sunday by 1.0293 seconds over Paul Dana.

Chesson had trouble with his car early, but it got better as the race progressed and he passed Dana with seven laps to go for his third victory in six career starts.

"At the start of race, my car wasn't very good," Chesson said. "We knew the car would come to us the longer the race went on. I didn't get excited or overanxious and it just started coming to us."
