Mirenco Expands Its DriverMax Product Line
RADCLIFFE, Iowa--Aug. 2, 20040, 2004--Mirenco, Inc., (OTCBB:MREO) announces a new model of DriverMax(R). The DriverMax-CX is designed especially for construction and industrial equipment with digitally controlled diesel engines. "Because fuel costs are mounting, recent opportunities for our DriverMax-GS model have significantly increased for the over-the-road and delivery truck markets," stated Dwayne Fosseen, CEO. "Underground mines are purchasing our DriverMax(R) technology to comply with the air quality standards that will soon reach the final ruling deadline. DriverMax(R) has proven its cost effectiveness compared to other alternatives such as filters and additives."Rich Musal, Chief Operating Officer, elaborated, "Since our clients are experiencing substantial fuel savings between 7% to 16% using this technology on analog controlled diesel engines, they wanted to see the same fuel savings and emission controls with their entire fleet including those vehicles with digitally controlled diesel engines. It was imperative that Mirenco developed the DriverMax-CX to address those needs for these markets." Currently, nine mining operations as well as two highway construction companies are committing to the new DriverMax-CX in production. Mirenco's DriverMax(R) technology is also being offered with the Combustion Management Program, which includes opacity analysis and monitoring four times per year to adjust for engine performance degradation.
The DriverMax(R) technology is a patented programmable fuel management system that matches fuel flow with fuel demand to allow an engine to operate as efficiently as possible. DriverMax(R) was co-developed with the Department of Energy by the same team that makes missile guidance systems. This technology was also acknowledged by the Department of Energy as one of the "100 Best Technologies In The 20th Century."
