Progressive Announces 3rd Quarter Dividend

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio--Aug. 2, 20040, 2004--The Board of Directors of The Progressive Corporation today declared a quarterly dividend of $.030 per Common Share payable September 30, 2004, to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 10, 2004.
