LESTER BUILDINGS NAMED TITLE SPONSOR OF ASA MILWAUKEE
EVENT
PENDLETON, Ind. (August 18, 2004) - Lester Buildings, one of the largest manufacturers of engineered,
wood frame building systems in the country, has signed as the event sponsor of the August 29 ASA National
Tour race at The Milwaukee Mile. The 200-mile competition will be titled the "Lester Buildings 200."
"Milwaukee is one of the biggest markets for our buildings so it was natural that we use this race at the famous
Milwaukee Mile to help further embed the Lester Buildings brand in the community," said Tom Borgman,
Lester Buildings' marketing manager. "We are excited to be involved with ASA and rooting Tim Sauter on to
another victory."
In addition to their relationship with ASA, Lester Buildings is also the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Ford Taurus
driven by 1999 ASA National Tour champion Tim Sauter. A Wisconsin native, Sauter currently sits third in the
point standings, and has one win this season which came on July 17 at Madison International Speedway. His
race shop in Necedah, Wis., was constructed by Lester Buildings.
"Lester Buildings recently signed an agreement to become the 'Official Commercial Builder' of the ASA
National Tour," said Steve Dale, president and CEO of the Indiana-based stock car sanctioning body. "They
came into our sport with a lot of enthusiasm about how they planned to activate their program and this is just
another example of them using motorsports to help make their products better known to the consumer."
The Lester Buildings 200 will mark the 34th ASA National Tour visit to the legendary one-mile track, extending
a relationship that extends back to 1978. The event will start at 3 p.m. CDT, and race fans will be able to enjoy
a full day of on-track excitement as the MARS Series will compete in a 50-lap feature starting at 1 p.m.
Tickets are still available by calling The Milwaukee Mile ticket office at (414) 453-8277 or online via
