Petersen/ White Lightning Driver Craig Stanton to Appear on Thursday ALMS Web Chat ELKHART LAKE, Wisc., Aug. 17, 2004 - Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing driver Craig Stanton will be a special guest on Thursday evening's American Le Mans Series (ALMS) web site chat session. The Long Beach, California driver, and defending GT champion in the Road America 500, will answer questions from chat room participants on the ALMS' official web site, <http://www.americanlemans.com/> www.americanlemans.com. Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing began operation as an off-road team in the 1980s winning over 50 truck victories, including three-consecutive overall wins at the Baja 1000, and multiple championships. Since entering sports car racing, the effort has scored victories in the ALMS, the Trans-Am Series, Speed Challenge Series and endurance sports car wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (GT class, 2003 and '04), at Watkins Glen and at the Rolex 24 of Daytona. Since moving from moto-cross/super-cross to automobiles in 1986, Stanton has positioned himself as one of the premier drivers in sports car racing. He has won three championships and a Driver of the Year award in Sports Renault and is the 1997 Speedvision Cup Rising Star Award winner.
