Audi Renews as Official Vehicle for Wachovia LPGA Classic
Pennsylvania tournament hosted by Betsy King runs August 23-29
KUTZTOWN, Pa., Aug. 16 -- Audi of America is proud to announce its return as the official vehicle of the Wachovia LPGA Classic Hosted by Betsy King. Audi has supported this LPGA-sanctioned event for the past seven years. The 72-hole tournament will take place August 23-29, 2004, at the Berkleigh Country Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
The tournament features 144 golfers including defending champion Candie Kung and 2002 champion Se Ri Pak. The athletes will compete for a $1.0 million purse, and The Golf Channel will offer live TV coverage Thursday through Sunday, 2:00-5:00 p.m. EDT.
The Wachovia Shootout on Tuesday, August 24, promises to be an exciting element of this year's tournament as it features Betsy King, Meg Mallon, Beth Daniel, Lorena Ochoa, Laura Diaz and Natalie Gulbis. The event's Official Pro-Am takes place on Wednesday, August 25.

This year's event will benefit St. Luke's Hospital, Bethany Children's Home, Lutheran Home of Topton and Opportunity House.
Audi vehicles will be on display throughout the country club grounds for guests to explore during the week including the all-new 2005 A6 which arrives at dealerships in November. Audi is also sponsoring a Hole-in-One contest throughout the LPGA tournament play. Players will have unlimited chances over the four days to make an ace on hole 15 for an A4 1.8T featuring the Ultra Sport Package valued at $38,120.
