Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. Announces Conference Call to Discuss First Quarter FY 2005 Results

LOS ANGELES--Aug. 1, 20042, 2004--Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. ("MPA") (OTC:MPAA), a leading provider of remanufactured starters and alternators for the automotive aftermarket, announced today that it will host a conference call at 6:30 a.m. PDT (9:30 a.m. EDT) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004, to discuss results for the first quarter Fiscal 2005.

Joining Selwyn Joffe, Chairman, President and CEO of MPA, will be Charles Yeagley, Chief Financial Officer. The Company plans to distribute its earnings announcement that same day at 6:00 a.m. PDT (9:00 a.m. EDT).
