Ford Racing Innovation Drive Rolls Into Detroit

     Guests will be among the first consumers in the country to drive
              Ford's new Mustang, Freestyle and Five Hundred

WHAT: A consumer immersion showcasing three of Ford's all-new lineup of vehicles, featuring Ford's NASCAR racing drivers, driving courses, product experts, and more.

  WHEN:  Thursday, August 19, 2004
         10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

WHY: More than 1,000 consumer guests will be among the first in the country to drive Ford's 2005 Mustang, Five Hundred, and Freestyle before they hit local showrooms later this summer.

The event is designed to show consumers in Detroit how Ford is changing the game in every segment of the market by offering safety features, roominess, versatility, powertrain technology and great designs you can't find from any other company.

  WHERE:  James Scott Memorial Fountain
          Belle Isle
          Detroit, Michigan  (via MacArthur Bridge, East Grand Blvd. at
           Jefferson Ave.)

VISUALS: Media and cameras will have easy access to key spokespeople, consumers, and Ford Racing NASCAR drivers. Pace Car drivers from the Champ Car World Series will deliver pointers on performance driving.
