Auraria Parkway Closed August 11-16, 2004 for 2004 Grand Prix of Denver

DENVER, Aug. 10, 2004 -- Traffic changes related to the 2004 CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix are as follows:

   Wednesday, August 11, 2004:

7:30 p.m.: Outbound/West lanes of Auraria Parkway, between 7th Street and Speer Blvd. will be closed, and will reopen by 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 16.

Thursday, August 12, 2004:

10:00 a.m.: Inbound/East lanes of Auraria Parkway between 7th Street and Speer Blvd. and Chopper Circle will be closed for the weekend, and will reopen by 6:00 a.m. Monday, August 16. The intersection of 7th Street and Auraria Parkway will remain operational throughout the weekend.

Monday, August 16, 2004:

6:00 a.m.: Inbound/East lanes of Auraria Parkway reopen for morning rush hour.

3:30 p.m.: Outbound/West lanes of Auraria Parkway reopen for afternoon rush hour.

Suggested Alternate Route:

For easy access to the downtown area from I-25 between August 11 and August 16, 2004, it is suggested that commuters exit at Speer Blvd.
