Inovis' VAN and Managed Services Gain Momentum; 100,000 Active Trading Relationships, Two Million Transactions Daily Supported Through Continued Technology and Service Advancements

ATLANTA--Aug. 1, 20040, 2004--Inovis, a provider of business commerce automation solutions, today announced significant growth and increased usage of its value-added network (VAN) and managed services offerings. Inovis' VAN facilitates millions of transactions daily and thousands of active trading partner relationships, accounting for more than $300 billion dollars in annual global commerce. The company continues to foster development in its VAN and managed services, having recently launched its next-generation services network in April 2004.

The Inovis VAN and managed services are part of the company's comprehensive portfolio of business commerce automation solutions, which also include electronic data interchange (EDI) transformation software and support for newer technologies and standards like Internet EDI, ebXML, UCCnet and RosettaNet. While VANs and the EDI documents they transport are often considered older or legacy technology investments, they are a growing part of Inovis' business as companies continue to use these networks as a primary or secondary means of exchanging standardized business documents with trading partners.

Inovis continues to gain market share in the VAN space. Supporting e-business traffic from a majority of the Fortune 500, Inovis currently hosts nearly 100,000 active trading relationships, representing more than two million transactions per day. Inovis' solutions continue to be widely adopted by the automotive and retail sectors, supporting virtually 100 percent of the automotive supply chain and each of the top 25 retailers in the United States.

"The perception of a stagnant, irrelevant value-added network industry is becoming obsolete as vendors quickly implement emerging business-to-business innovations, layered with process and industry-specific functionality," said Benoit Lheureux, research director at Gartner Research.

Providing a single gateway for business-to-business electronic commerce, the Inovis VAN supports a wide range of data formats and includes connectivity, access, transport and security options to ensure the facilitation of critical business documents. Continuing investments in its VAN and managed services, Inovis recently launched its next-generation services network to provide users with improved control, visibility and customer service features. The new services features include a powerful engine for end-to-end control and greater visibility of business-to-business transactions and trading partner relationships, reducing the cost and complexity of trading partner management.

"Industry consolidation, cost-savings measures and varied trading partner mandates have prompted many companies to adopt a hybrid approach to their e-business infrastructures, often requiring simultaneous support for a wide variety of communications and connectivity standards," said Michael Croxton, senior vice president of marketing for Inovis. "Through continued developments and investment in both legacy and new business commerce innovations, Inovis is best poised to help customers do business more effectively with all of their trading partners."
