PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Taps Michael Cenko as the Leader of its U.S. Automotive Industry Tax Sector

NEW YORK, Aug. 5, 2004 -- PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP announced that Michael Cenko has been appointed to lead the firm's U.S. Auto Industry tax sector. Mr. Cenko succeeded Mark Mendola, who went on to become the managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Detroit office.

In his new role, Mr. Cenko will coordinate and manage the tax services for the firm's U.S. Auto Industry sector. A 25-year veteran of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Cenko was most recently the Southwest Regional Consumer Industrial Product Services (CIPS) lead partner for the tax practice.

In announcing Mr. Cenko's appointment, PricewaterhouseCoopers' Detroit managing partner Mark Mendola said, "Mike brings a tremendous wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the automotive group, which we expect to thrive under his leadership."

Mr. Cenko was named "Top Tax Advisor" by the International Tax Review (July/August 1998) in the U.S. Central Region and was also selected by his peers and clients to be included in the 1999, 2001 and 2002 editions of Guide to the World's Leading Tax Advisors. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
