Twin Disc, Inc., Appoints Harold M. Stratton II to Its Board of Directors

RACINE, Wisc.--Aug. 4, 2004--Twin Disc, Inc. , today announced that Harold M. Stratton II has been appointed as a director to replace Paul J. Powers who is retiring when his term expires in October, 2004. Mr. Stratton's appointment is effective immediately and he will stand for re-election at the annual shareholders' meeting in October.

Mr. Stratton, a graduate of St. Lawrence University and the University of Notre Dame, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Strattec Security Corporation. While once a part of Briggs and Stratton Corporation, Strattec has been a separate company since 1995, having achieved sales of $197 million in 2003. Strattec Security designs, develops, manufactures and markets mechanical and electro-mechanical locks and related security/access control products for global automotive manufacturers.

Michael E. Batten, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Twin Disc, stated: "We are sorry to see Paul leave the Board, and we will miss him.
