Vehicle Valuation Tools From 'Black Book' Available Through Expanded CUNA Relationship

GAINESVILLE, Ga., Aug. 4, 2004 -- National Auto Research, publisher of the popular Black Book family of vehicle appraisal guides, and Credit Union National Association (CUNA) are pleased to announce an expansion of the relationship they began in January 2000. CUNA members are now able to purchase all Black Book vehicle valuation products at reduced prices. CUNA members can also post Black Book's Internet products on their own Web sites, along with details on beginning the loan process and applications, to encourage members to begin the loan process through their credit union.

Black Book publishes the most accurate, timely, and comprehensive vehicle valuation products available. The product line includes electronic and printed guide books for used cars and light trucks produced between 1946 and 2004, collectible and exotic vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, and heavy duty commercial trucks and trailers. Additional products include residual value guides in both dollar and percent of equipped MSRP formats, as well as the widely used New Car Cost Guide (formerly published by "AIS"). Black Book also provides comprehensive VIN decoding software for new and used vehicles, including: cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, motorcycles and commercial trucks. Black Book's vehicle evaluation products are available in multiple formats to best suit your needs: printed books, real time Internet solutions, PDA software in both Palm and Pocket PC formats, custom database applications, and inventory/portfolio analysis.

"One incredible feature of the Internet products is that there are no advertisements or links to other lenders, so it keeps credit union members where they will get the best deals -- their credit union Web site," said Jim Hanson, vice president of CUNA's Center for Personal Finance.

Bob Burnett, president of NAR, said: "CUNA members will now be able to have access to the highly respected Black Book vehicle valuation products at special reduced rates. They'll be paying less and getting more."

Black Book's clientele includes every automobile manufacturer selling products in the United States, thousands of new and used car dealers, many of the largest auto finance companies in the world, insurance and re-insurance companies, national financial institutions, and over 2,000 credit unions..

CUNA members are encouraged to call 1-800-367-3759 to order or set up a free demonstration of any Black Book vehicle valuation product. Members can also visit http://www.blackbookusa.com/cuna.asp.
