BMW Optimistic about U.S 2004 Car Sales

FRANKFURT, Aug 4, 2004; Reuters reported that German carmaker BMW AG expects U.S. car sales to rise in August and in 2004 overall despite a decline in July, Chief Executive Helmut Panke told a conference call with journalists on Wednesday. "We will have numbers above the year-ealier level already in August and that is valid for the annual outlook as well," he said.
