Plexus Systems Receives Future 50 of Greater Detroit Award
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 3, 2004 -- Plexus Systems has been selected as a Future 50 Company of Greater Detroit.
The Future 50 competition identifies those firms whose revenue growth and impact on the economy has had the greatest effect on investment, employment and community enhancement in southeastern Michigan.
With its innovative Plexus Online system, Plexus has helped Michigan manufacturers to better manage their operations and become more competitive in the global marketplace.
Plexus has a strong reputation for providing state-of-the-art manufacturing information systems to suppliers in industries with rigorous traceability, quality and supply management requirements such as the automotive and aerospace sectors. Key customers include Metaldyne, EaglePicher, American Axle, GKN and many mid-sized companies.
Founded in 1995, Plexus Systems has funded its rapid growth with its operating revenue and has been profitable every year since its inception. "We've grown steadily, even through the manufacturing downturn, by delivering outstanding value to our customers," said Jane Warner, President of Plexus Systems.
In December 2003, Plexus continued its expansion by moving its headquarters to Auburn Hills, Michigan where it designed and built a world class Data Center from which to host its Plexus Online system. This facility also houses the company's engineers, software developers, and support staff.
"With all the pressure on manufacturing firms in today's economy and especially in southeastern Michigan, we are honored to receive this award recognizing our strong commitment to helping our manufacturing customers successfully compete for business in a global market," said Warner.
