Chrysler Celebrates Spoken-Word Poetry Program 10th Anniversary at UNITY
WHAT: Chrysler Group's "Spirit in the Word" poetry program creates a venue in which African-American, Asian, Hispanic and Native American journalists read their written work. The 10th anniversary of the program will be celebrated during the 2004 UNITY journalism conference where finalists will perform their work for a chance to win $10,000 in prizes. Journalists will also be invited to take the Stow 'n Go minivan challenge with Chrysler Group's President and Chief Executive Officer, Dieter Zetsche.
WHO: More than 700 journalists from around the nation are expected to attend the event along with field and television actress Shari Headley, who will serve as emcee, a host of judges, including Sister2Sister magazine publisher Jamie Foster Brown and Chrysler Group executives, including:
