Hyundai Mobis Deploys Proxim ORiNOCO Access Points for Large-Scale Enterprise Wi-Fi Network

Deploys 1500 Proxim ORiNOCO Access Points at 90 Warehouses to Improve Productivity and Inventory Management

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 3 -- Proxim Corporation , a global leader in wireless networking equipment for Wi-Fi and broadband wireless networks, announced today that Hyundai Mobis, Korea's leading automotive parts manufacturer, has successfully deployed a large scale, secure enterprise Wi-Fi network across its 90 warehouses in Korea.

The network, which uses over 1500 Proxim ORiNOCO Access Points, enables Hyundai Mobis' mobile employees to check inventories in real time, improve planning and benefit from other mobile data applications using Wi-Fi enabled personal digital assistants (PDAs).
