Sterling Marlin Drives the Aspen Edge Dodge to Eighth Top-15 Finish at Pocono

LONG POND, Pa, (August 1, 2004) --- Sterling Marlin and the Coors Light
crew persevered with a never give up attitude to post a 15th-place
finish in the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. Marlin's 15th place
finish was his eighth top-15 finish of the 2004 season and his highest
finish at Pocono Raceway since the June race last season.

The Aspen Edge Dodge qualified in the fourth spot for the Pennsylvania
500 but within 24 laps had fallen to the 15th position. The Coors Light
crew made several adjustments including putting in and taking out spring
rubbers, making several air pressure, track bar and wedge adjustments,
raising the spoiler angle and changing the front shocks during the race
to take the checkered in the 15th position.

"The car was sliding on turn 3," Marlin said. "The guys worked really
hard and made several adjustments, including changing the shocks and
were able to keep me on the lead lap. We were able to get a top 15
finish but the car could have been a lot better."

The biggest adjustment of the day came on lap 84 when Marlin brought the
Aspen Edge Dodge down pit road to change the front shocks. The Coors
Light crew was able to get both front shocks changed, the track bar
adjusted and put on four fresh tires in three quick stops and Marlin was
able to restart on the lead lap in the 30th spot.

Marlin remains 18th in the NEXTEL Cup championship points, just 261
points out of the top 10 after his 15th-place finish at Pocono. Ganassi
teammates Casey Mears and Jamie McMurray finished 18th and 30th
respectively.

The Coors Light crew heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway next weekend
for the Brickyard 400.
