Three Industry Publications Cite Transplace for Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence

Transplace Again Recognized Among Top 3PLs

PLANO, Texas, Aug. 2 -- Transplace, Inc., a logistics technology and transportation management services provider, today announced that it has been recognized for excellence, service capabilities and size by three leading supply chain industry publications.

The July edition of Inbound Logistics magazine again recognizes Transplace in its Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards, while the August edition of Global Logistics & Supply Chain Strategies names Transplace as one of its 100 Great Supply Chain Partners. And this past June, Transplace ranked sixth in Logistics Management magazine's list of the top 50 3PLs.

Inbound Logistics, the leading provider of information to today's business logistics managers, based the Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards on reader feedback received from December 2003 to June 2004. Last year, Inbound Logistics received more than 3,000 votes for 360 companies providing logistics services, making it the most inclusive study of the third-party logistics market.

The Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards is the definitive resource on third-party logistics and the outsourced logistics market. Companies were evaluated in several areas, including: the overall best job in third party logistics and also the specific services in which they excel.

The 100 Great Supply Chain Partners list is the result of a six-month poll of readers in which the magazine asked logistics and supply-chain professionals to nominate vendors and service providers whose technology, logistics, transportation or consulting solutions have made a significant impact on their company's efficiency, customer service, and overall supply- chain performance. The list recognizes those vendors that have so impressed the magazine's readers that they deserve to be singled out and to be held up as examples for others in the industry.

In June, Logistics Management magazine published its list of the top 50 3PLs. This ranking was based on revenue provided by Armstrong & Associates, a recognized leader in supply chain management consulting and market research. Armstrong's "Who's Who" guides are distributed worldwide and are the resource for shippers selecting third-party logistics providers, e-commerce fulfillment providers, and web-based logistics solutions.
