Subaru Expands and Extends Relationship With Nordica -- New Strategic Partnership Establishes Subaru-Nordica Service Team --
CHERRY HILL, N.J., July 30 -- Subaru of America, Inc., the only car company that features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard equipment on every vehicle in its product line, today announced the extension and expansion of its partnership with Nordica USA. Under the terms of the new agreement, Subaru will remain the official vehicle of Nordica USA, while Nordica USA, in turn, will remain the official ski and boot of Subaru of America, Inc. In addition to this extension of the agreement, the companies have expanded their relationship by establishing the Subaru-Nordica Service Team (SNST), a co-sponsored event service initiative.
This new and extended partnership will continue to build upon the successful Subaru Master the Mountain tour, which is an instructional ski tour for skiers and snowboarders. At these events, the SNST will offer free ski demos to any skier with a valid lift ticket.
"Nordica added tremendous value to the Subaru Master the Mountain program last year," said Rick Crosson, vice president, marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. "This success prompted us to extend and expand our relationship. We believe the results of this new partnership will continue to be a valuable asset to the ski community."
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Subaru Master the Mountain program that tours popular destination resorts throughout the USA providing skiers and snowboarders alike with the opportunity to learn to ski or improve their current skills through professional instruction.
"We are more than pleased to announce the growth of this partnership," said Andy Knittle, CEO of Nordica USA. "The creation of the Subaru-Nordica Service Team places a tremendous amount of resources in the field working at the grassroots level. We hold these service activities among the most important aspects of our business, and this new team is a key component of those activities."
