American Tire Distributors to Offer Continental Tires

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--July 29, 2004--Continental Tire North America, Inc. ("CTNA") and American Tire Distributors, Inc. ("ATD") announced today that ATD will begin selling Continental and General tires through their national network of distribution centers beginning in August 2004. Continental is one of the world's leading brands of premium tires, and General is a separate line of high-value tires designed and manufactured by Continental Tire North America (CTNA).
