Mile Marker International, Inc. Announces Record Second Quarter 2004 Results
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--July 29, 2004--Mile Marker International, Inc. (OTCBB:MMRK), a specialty vehicle parts distributor, today announced a 159% increase in its sales revenues, a 1672% increase in its net income and a 1000% increase in its earnings per share for the three months ended June 30, 2004 compared to the same quarterly period in 2003.In its Form 10-QSB filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today, Mile Marker International, Inc. announced that it earned net income of $1,086,218, or $0.11 per common share, for the second fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2004, based on sales revenues of $5,975,515. During the same period in 2003, the Company reported net income of $61,305, or $0.01 per common share, based on sales of $2,303,564.
Sales revenues were $12,979,807 for the first six months of 2004, compared to $4,969,687 for the first six months of 2003 and $13,238,315 for the full year of 2003. Net income for the first six months of 2004 was $2,230,870 compared to $301,391 for the first six months of 2003 and $1,316,427 for the full year of 2003. Fully diluted earnings per share were $0.22 in the first six months of 2004, compared to $0.03 for the first six months of 2003 and $0.13 for the full year of 2003.
Richard Aho, President and CEO of Mile Marker International, Inc., said: "Our outstanding performance in the second quarter of this year was powered by strong sales increases in all of our major products - commercial winches, military winches, OEM winches and hubs. Our largest sales increase resulted from deliveries of our patented hydraulic winches to the U.S. Army under our long-term military contract. We expect our commercial winch business to continue to grow with the introduction of several new electric winch product lines, plus we anticipate receiving additional military winch orders from the military's recently-approved fiscal 2005 budget which commences October 1, 2004."
