Tier One Automotive Supplier, Formed Fiber, Selects SSA Global's ERP Solution
CHICAGO--July 28, 2004--SSA Global(TM), a leading provider of extended enterprise solutions and services, today announced that Formed Fiber Technologies, Inc. (FFT), a tier one automotive supplier, has chosen to implement the SSA ERP Automotive Solution to help meet its business requirements for driving operational efficiencies throughout the enterprise. The sale was made by SSA Global's North American Channel Management Sales team and E-emphasis, an SSA Global Certified Channel Partner.Formed Fiber Technologies, Inc. is North America's largest manufacturer of automotive trunk trim, solution-dyed, polyester staple fibers. Many of the world's major automakers rely on FFT for interior trim products.
The decision to implement SSA Global's ERP solution was made after FFT conducted an intensive evaluation of SSA Global's solution against several formidable competitors. With SSA Global, FFT found a partner with an automotive solution that met important criteria, including ease of assimilation of new acquisitions, solution integration, visibility of supply chain, shop floor control including bar code and RFID, automotive financial practice efficiency, production planning, release management, schedule optimization and automotive EDI integration. Ultimately, the scalability of the SSA Global solution, SSA Global's automotive industry expertise, and its impressive customer references were the critical factors that set SSA Global apart from the competition.
John Bagonzi, director of materials management for Formed Fiber Technologies, stated, "Formed Fiber made a very strategic decision to select SSA Global as its business partner in this deal. We are very excited with the strength of their team and their knowledge of the automotive business, which reflects extremely well on the commitment SSA Global is making to companies like Formed Fiber."
