- Celebration of Chrysler and Jeep brands - Opportunities to test drive Chrysler and Jeep brand vehicles - Activities for all ages

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 28 -- Chrysler Art of Driving and Jeep 101(R) are making tour stops at DaimlerChrysler Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., August 7-8. The events run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

"Chrysler Art of Driving and Jeep 101 stopping in the Detroit metro area on the same weekend provides consumers with the unique opportunity to experience two very different Chrysler Group brand offerings at one time," said Jeff Bell, Vice President of Jeep Marketing, Chrysler Group. "This weekend's events have something for everyone from the SUV lover to the sports car enthusiast."

Chrysler Art of Driving Tour provides thousands of existing and potential Chrysler owners a no-pressure opportunity to experience the Chrysler brand, as it marks the launch of the 2005 Chrysler 300, PT Cruiser Convertible, Crossfire Roadster and Town & Country Minivan. Three specially designed driving courses will be available for the more than 75 vehicles that will be on hand for attendees to drive, including competitive models from Cadillac, Lexus, Toyota and BMW.

The Art of Driving Tour also offers courses in a few of the finer things in life beyond automobiles. The tour includes pastime and leisure activities synonymous with Chrysler owners and potential owners. Guests can experience the "art" of authentic cigar rolling, a proper golf swing and gourmet cooking complete with demonstrations, wine tasting and pairing from award-winning food and wine experts local to the Detroit metro area.

Jeep 101 encourages consumers to get down and dirty in Jeep(R) vehicles, providing them with opportunities to test drive Jeep vehicles on challenging on- and off-road driving courses. Guests will be among the first to drive the new Wrangler Unlimited, a roomier, more comfortable version of the classic Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty and Wrangler models will also be available for test drives along with vehicle models for competing brands.

The lifestyle side of Jeep 101 features a number of interactive displays and activities, including a mountain bike course, Jeep brand video games, informative product displays, historical vehicles and a special "Jeep Kidz" area where future Jeepers can drive "Power Wheels" mini-Jeep vehicles.

The Auburn Hills stop for Chrysler Art of Driving is part of a 12-city tour, which officially kicked off in Los Angeles. In addition to stopping in Auburn Hills, the tour includes stops in Dallas, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Houston and Philadelphia. This year's national tour of Camp Jeep started at Fort Dix in Wrightstown, N.J., and includes eight military bases and five public venues. The Jeep 101 tour will conclude in Tampa, Fla., in November.

Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license to participate in the ride-and-drive activities at both events.
