EnPro Industries Completes Sale of Tool and Die Business

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--July 27, 2004--EnPro Industries, Inc. announced today that it has closed the sale of its Haber Tool Company and its Danti tool and die business to Die-Namic, Inc. Haber and Danti manufacture specialized tooling and dies used primarily in the automotive industry. The Haber operations are located in Canton, Michigan and the Danti operations are located in Saginaw, Michigan. Die-Namic is based in Taylor, Michigan. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"This transaction completes the divestiture of our tool and die business, in keeping with our focus on a core group of businesses that offer us the most attractive opportunities for growth," said Ernie Schaub, president and chief executive of EnPro. "It also provides the Haber and Danti operations a beneficial affiliation with a business that is solely focused on their industry. EnPro will continue to seek other such opportunities to divest operations not essential to our primary sealing and engineered products businesses, as well as to acquire businesses that will contribute greater long-term value to EnPro."
