GORE-TEX TriGuard Gaskets Ideal for Sealing Valves Used in Chlorine Gas Service

ELKTON, Md.--July 26, 2004--GORE-TEX(R) TriGuard(TM) gaskets are the ideal sealing solution for municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as other facilities that handle chlorine gas in their manufacturing processes.

The chlorine is typically supplied from 150-pound cylinders or ton containers, thereby making tight sealing an absolute necessity. Following extensive performance testing, GORE-TEX(R) TriGuard(TM) gaskets have been recognized by the Chlorine Institute as highly suited to sealing fragile pipe flanges in chlorine systems. Applied with a low bolt load, the gaskets seal tight and stay tight, even with varying flange conditions. The unique sealed inner diameter design eliminates the risk of chlorine absorption into the gasket.
