Stremme and the TRIMSPA X32 Dodge Catching no Breaks in New Hampshire

Loudon, NH (July 25, 2004) – Team TRIMSPA driver David Stremme was still
feeling out the New Hampshire International Speedway for the first time when he
qualified 15th for Saturday’s Siemens 200. However at the drop of the green
Stremme looked like a veteran on the one-mile oval, moving up three positions to
twelfth on the first lap. Stremme continued to claim spots, climbing inside the
top ten by lap 15 despite a tight handling condition.

“The TRIMSPA X32 was strong all day,” said Stremme. “I was working to learn
the best line around the track and felt we could run with just about anyone
out there.”

After pitting off sequence to the leaders on lap 30, Stremme restarted in the
18th position and began to gain positions again. But the battle for the
thirteenth spot proved to be unlucky for Stremme, as fellow Ganassi teammate Jamie
McMurray lost control beneath him and made contact with the TRIMSPA X32 Dodge.
The result was a broken brake line and a flat tire on the left rear of Stremme
’s Dodge.

“Jamie (McMurray) just drove it in too deep and got loose,” Stremme said. “
He tried to correct it but ended up hitting us. It wasn’t on purpose but it was
unfortunate and it took the TRIMSPA Dodge out of contention for a top finish.”

After repairing the damage, Stremme returned to the track in the 33rd
position five laps down. Despite being out of contention he was still posting lap
times as quick as the leaders. Stremme finished 28th on the day, maintaining 18th
position in the points.

Stremme and Team TRIMSPA look to rebound when they compete at Pikes Peak
International Raceway in the Gould’s Pumps 250 on July 31st. The event will be
televised live at 3:30 p.m. eastern time on TNT and will broadcast nationally at
that same time on radio stations affiliated with Motor Racing Network (MRN)
and XM Satellite Radio Channel 144.
