Gentex Corporation to Break Ground on New Facility

Gentex Corporation will break ground on its new Technology Center and Manufacturing Facility on Monday, August 2, at 10:30 a.m. All media are invited to attend.

The new 300,000 square-foot facility will be located in Zeeland on Centennial Street, across from the Company's corporate headquarters. In cooperation with the City of Zeeland, a portion of Centennial Street has been vacated to allow the new facility to be constructed as an extension of the existing Centennial facility.

The new facility will nearly double Gentex's mirror manufacturing capacity and provide the necessary office, meeting and testing space for its growing engineering and research & development teams. It is estimated that the addition of the facility will generate over 600 jobs over the next five years. The building is expected to be completed in early 2006.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held directly across from the Gentex corporate headquarters at 600 N. Centennial.
