Dan Wheldon on the 2004 Menards A.J. Foyt Indy 225:
"I'm looking forward to Milwaukee, but we're going to have to work very hard. We had a
tough test there. But, I'm sure our entire engineering group and all four drivers will put our heads
together and come up with the right plan. Milwaukee should be a race where, if your car is
handling well, you can really reap the rewards and that is what we intend to do."
Dan Wheldon Facts
Wheldon heads to Milwaukee ranked second in the IndyCar Series standings, trailing
teammate Tony Kanaan, 325-264.
In his most recent outing, Wheldon led 16 laps and was leading on lap 181 when a flat
right rear tire sent him to the pit lane, dropped him a lap down and left him with a 13th
place finish.
Wheldon has two career IndyCar Series wins, visiting the winner's circle at Twin Ring
Motegi and Richmond (2004).
Wheldon has two career IndyCar Series poles, earning them consecutively at Phoenix and
Twin Ring Motegi in 2004.
Earlier this year, Wheldon tied an IndyCar Series record by scoring seven consecutive top-
five finishes, a streak that included the final three events of 2003 and the first four races of
2004. Wheldon shares the record with Helio Castroneves and Sam Hornish.

Eddie Jones, Race Engineer, #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone
on the Menards A.J. Foyt Indy 225:
"I believe the Klein Tools/Jim Beam team is feeling fairly confident heading into this
weekend. Milwaukee is a very tough track and the series is obviously very competitive this year.
But, I think we will be much better than our one day of testing showed up there. Like any short
oval, Milwaukee demands that you qualify up front. But at the same time, you have to have a
good car. If you don't, you're going to go backwards in a hurry. Overtaking is very difficult there,
so maintaining good track position will be critical."
