Reynolds and Reynolds' Networkcar(R) Expands Networkfleet Reporting Suite

Reports and new functionality help fleet managers improve driver productivity and lower overhead

SAN DIEGO, July 20 -- Networkcar(R), a Reynolds and Reynolds company , today announced that the company has added an extensive reporting suite to its Networkfleet management system and has added several new product features.

The new reporting suite allows fleet managers to quickly analyze fleet location and diagnostic information to improve productivity and reduce costs. In addition to new reporting capabilities, customers will also benefit from new dispatching features.

Networkfleet collects and organizes detailed automotive information directly from a vehicle's engine computer and location-based information from a global positioning system (GPS). Fleet owners and operators can remotely access this information in the form of immediate e-mail alerts, summary reports and easy-to-read Web pages.

New Dispatching Features Increase Fleet Productivity

With Networkfleet, dispatchers can now identify and display an unlimited number of landmarks on Web-based maps. Landmarking increases productivity by making it easier for dispatchers to see which driver is closest to a given customer, better predict shipment arrival times and determine misuse of company vehicles. In addition, dispatchers can quickly locate the closest vehicle to a specific address to improve routing.

For service businesses like Coast Plumbing of Santa Ana, California, the results have been immediate. According to Jerry Herrington, fleet supervisor for Coast, "Networkfleet's GPS and online mapping system has allowed us to more efficiently route service technicians to customer sites and provide the prompt service we are known for. Response time is critical in this industry and this technology helps us to get to the customer faster."

New Reporting Suite Simplifies Management's Oversight of Vehicles

Networkfleet's new, expanded suite of reports gives fleet managers expanded insight into the operating condition of their vehicles and productivity of their drivers.

   * Stop Detail Report - Fleet managers can better manage driver activities
and improve routing by showing trip details for any fleet vehicle
including trip mileage, trip duration, stop location and stop duration.

   * Alerts Report - Fleet managers can access a list of vehicles that need
service or have a diagnostic problem so they can repair vehicles at an
earlier, less-expensive stage and decrease vehicle downtime.

   * Odd-Hours Report - Fleet managers can quickly identify driving-time
violations to prevent unauthorized use of company vehicles after hours
     or on weekends.

   * Speed Violations Report - By reviewing speed violations, fleet managers
can now increase safety and reduce speed related accidents. Simply
enter a speed threshold and then review a report showing violations by
     location and vehicle.

"We are pleased to offer this robust reporting suite that was designed with our customer's input to reduce their operating costs and improve the service they provide to their customers," said Networkcar President Dave Dutch. "We have received especially positive feedback about our idle time monitoring functionality and fuel efficiency trend data since these are particularly useful tools in light of recent skyrocketing fuel costs."

Now Compatible with Light and Heavy Duty Vehicles

Originally compatible with only light OBD II vehicles, the Networkfleet vehicle management system is now compatible with virtually all cars manufactured since 1996 and trucks manufactured since 1988. This includes Class 1-3 passenger cars and light-duty trucks, Class 4-6 medium-duty and light-heavy duty trucks and Class 8 heavy-duty trucks.
