Rain washes out final eliminations for jr. racers at Bristol Dragway

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The final day of day of racing at the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals, being held this weekend at Bristol Dragway, was postponed Saturday due to rain.
	Before the rains came, champions were crowned in five of the eight jr. categories. The remaining finalist will be crowned tomorrow at 9 a.m. 
	In the 8-9 year old category, Madison Defoor of Warners Robins, Ga., won over Andrew Whitman of York, Pa. 
	The 10 year old category winner was Tyler Smith of Springfield, Tenn. Smith's win came over Megan Kerns of Milan, Mich. 
	In the 11 year old category, Payton Filson of Fairborn, Ohio took the win over Colby Imes of Clear Spring, Md. 
	Taking the win in 12 year old category was Lewis Shuman of Washington, Pa. In the final Shuman defeated 2003 Champion Nick Chiles of Reedville, Va.
	In the 13 year old category, Brandon Ennis of Pocomoke, Md., emerged with the win. In his final round contest, Ennis defeated Corey Oberstaedt of Whitmore, Mich. 
	Racing tomorrow at will resume tomorrow at 9 a.m. for the remaining finalists in the 14, 15 and 16-17 year old categories.
