HARRIS, GROVE, AND BOUDREAU ON TOP AT US 13 DRAGWAY

 

     DELMAR, Del. - In the first rounds of qualifying at the Delaware
1st State Championships, Doug Harris leads the Comp Eliminator field in
his '03 S-10 with a lap of 7.740 seconds, 0.530 seconds under the index.
Tony Stephenson of Willow Spring, N.C. sits in second at 7.929, 0.521
under.

Harris is joined by Scott Grove who put his '93 Daytona out front in the
Super Stock class covering the US 13 Dragway quarter mile in 8.414
seconds. Grove is followed by Tim Worner of Duncannon, Pa., in second in
his '88 Cutlass.

Stock Eliminator driver Jim Boudreau is on top with a pass of 10.540 in
his '69 Camaro with Bay Shore, N.Y., resident Gary Richard in second
with a run of 10.547 seconds, 1.153 under the index. 

In a special exhibition elimination session of Supercharged Warriors, it
was John DeCort of Salem, Ohio defeating Dave Covell also of Ohio.

Special action Saturday night includes Nostalgia Top Fuel and Alcohol
exhibition runs beginning at 7:30 p.m.

     Racing continues Saturday at 10 a.m.  Gates open at 8 a.m.  Tickets
