Delco Remy International Names Craig Hart as the Treasurer

ANDERSON, Ind., July 15 -- Delco Remy International, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Hart as Treasurer of the Company, effective August 1, 2004. Hart will assume the duties of Treasurer from David Stoll, who has announced his retirement, also effective August 1. Stoll served as Vice President, Controller and Secretary from the Company's inception and was elected Treasurer in 2000. Hart joined the Finance team in 1997 and was promoted to Assistant Treasurer in 2002.

  

Commenting on the appointment, Raj Shah Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer said, "David has made numerous positive contributions to the Company over the decade including significant progress in strengthening the Company's liquidity and financial position. While David will be missed, I am certain this will be an efficient and orderly transition. David and Craig have worked as a team over the last several years and with the completion of the recent refinancings, I am confident Craig will continue to provide the leadership to support the Company's objectives of profitable growth and improved liquidity and leverage."

Delco Remy International, Inc., headquartered in Anderson, Indiana, is a leading designer, manufacturer, remanufacturer and distributor of electrical, drivetrain / powertrain and related products for automobiles, light-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks and other heavy-duty off-road and industrial applications.
