Gold Cup Hydroplane 'Miss Chrysler Jeep' on Display With Driver and Crew at DaimlerChrysler Technology Center, July 14

The Gold Cup is celebrating its centennial anniversary at the 2004 Chrysler Jeep Superstores Detroit APBA Gold Cup event, known as "The Race of the Century," July 15-18.

Mark Tate, the driver of "Miss Chrysler Jeep" and a Canton resident, is available for interviews at the event site. Also, digital photography of Tate and "Miss Chrysler Jeep" is available upon request through the contacts listed below.

Catch Tate, "Miss Chrysler Jeep" and all the other unlimited hydroplane action at "The Race of the Century," the 2004 Chrysler Jeep Superstores Detroit APBA Gold Cup, which features unlimited hydroplane boats with 3,000 horsepower engines reaching top speeds of more than 200 mph and covering the length of a football field in less than one second.

The title sponsor is the Chrysler Jeep Superstores Advertising Association with participation from DaimlerChrysler AG. The Chrysler Jeep Superstores Advertising Association is made up of the 41 independently owned Chrysler Jeep Superstores in Southeastern Michigan from Monroe to Fowlerville and from Clinton to Port Huron.
