Ford 'Year of the Car' Tour Rolls Into Orlando
WHAT: Ford showcases three outstanding and diverse examples of its new "Year of the Car" products on the Orlando stop of its summer North American tour -- the Ford Mustang, the Ford Five Hundred and the Ford Freestyle.
WHEN: Thursday, July 15 WHO/WHERE:
* Noon to 1:30 p.m. - Media lunch hosted by former Florida resident and University of Florida alumna Barb Samardzich, executive director small rear wheel drive and front wheel drive vehicles, Ford Motor Company, at The Westin Grand Bohemian, 325 South Orange Avenue, Orlando.
* 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Ford Motor Company Year of the Car tour and Barb Samardzich will host a massive gathering of the Mid-Florida Mustang club at Waterford Lakes Town Center, 413 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando.
SUMMARY: Ford is celebrating Mustang's 40th anniversary with a back-to- the-future design of the 2005 model. It's one of 40 new products the company will launch this fall, designated by Ford as "The Year of the Car." The swaggering Pony car legend, the all-new flagship Five Hundred sedan, and the Freestyle that bridges the gap between SUVs and traditional passenger cars, demonstrate the range of these products.
