CEIBS to Host 'China Automotive Industry Forum 2004'
SHANGHAI, China, July 12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) wishes to invite senior government officials and the world's top leaders and decision-makers to the China Automotive Industry Forum 2004 on November 22, 2004. The forum will be held in the school's newly expanded main campus in Pudong, Shanghai.
After completion of Phase II of the main campus, the 2004 forum will be an opportunity for a greater number of exclusive participants to discuss the micro- and macro-economic implications and impact of the new automotive industry policy after its final release earlier this year. Topics of discussion will focus on: Prospects of the Chinese Economy in 2005, Local and global perspectives on the Chinese automotive industry, Strategic alliances and technology transfer, Automobile distribution, Development of a competitive automotive component industry, and China's role in the global automotive industry.
Last year's China Automotive Industry Forum, held by CEIBS, was designed to coincide with the government's release of China's new automotive industry policy and was a phenomenal success. China's auto industry policy-makers came to this event and met with industry leaders from around the world seeking to learn what the new policy could mean to their companies, China and the world.
The presentations, and particularly the Q&A sessions, were characterized by a degree of openness not found in commercially organised conferences. This was true both of government (indeed especially true of official speakers) and industry speakers, and reflects the perception of CEIBS as an academic and therefore neutral, non-partisan host.
