KENDALL BACKS UP TORONTO POLE WITH FASTEST TIME IN FINAL PRACTICE

 

 
TORONTO, Ontario (July 10, 2004) ‹ Tommy Kendall set the fastest time in
final practice Saturday morning for this afternoon¹s Trans-Am in T.O.
Kendall, driving the No. 11 Jaguar R Performance XKR, turned the 1.75-mile
temporary circuit in one minute, 12.262 seconds at an average speed of
87.432 miles per hour.

Paul Gentilozzi was second quickest in the No. 3 Jaguar R Performance XKR,
ahead of local racer Ron Fellows (No. 40 Molson Indy Chevrolet Corvette).
Tomy Drissi (No. 8 Dodgeball‹The Movie) and Jorge Diaz, Jr. (No. 8 Puerto
Rico Grand Prix Jaguar XKR) completed the top five.

Today¹s Trans-Am in T.O., Round 5 of the 2004 Motorock Trans-Am Series
Championship, is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. (EDT). The race will air LIVE
on HDNet with a tape-delayed highlights package on Spike TV¹s popular
³Dangerous Curves² show at 1:30 p.m. (EDT, PDT) on Sunday, July 18.
