UnitedAuto Announces New Area Vice President

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--July 9, 2004--UnitedAuto Group, Inc. , a FORTUNE 500 automotive specialty retailer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Russell R. Hill, Jr. as UnitedAuto Group's Area Vice President in northern California. Russ joins UnitedAuto after a career spanning 33 years in the car business with Audi and Volkswagen of America where he served as national sales director for Audi of America, Inc.

Russ will have primary responsibility to pursue, develop, integrate and oversee the northern California market area for UnitedAuto, reporting directly to George Brochick, UAG's Executive Vice President of Western Operations.
