80 Lucky Drivers Get Free Gas for Five Years, Courtesy of CITGO

By the End of Summer, CITGO Petroleum Corporation Will Give Away $1 Million in Free Gas

TULSA, Okla., July 8 -- Between Memorial Day and Independence Day -- one of the busiest driving seasons of the year -- 80 lucky drivers got a break from rising fuel prices by drawing and winning five years worth of free gas each from CITGO Petroleum Corporation during the CITGO Million Dollar Great Gas Giveaway. The CITGO summer promotion featured two ways to win free gas, traveling prize patrols and a sweepstakes.

From Memorial Day to Independence Day weekend, the CITGO Great Gas Giveaway Prize Patrols made unannounced visits to CITGO retail locations. Prize Patrols awarded gas prizes to the first 20 customers who participated in a random drawing conducted on-site during the visit. During each Prize Patrol stop, one customer won a five-year supply of gas while 19 others won CITGO Cash Cards ranging in value from $10-$50.

Even more people will win free gas prizes through their entries in the CITGO Million Dollar Great Gas Giveaway Sweepstakes. Those customers completed an entry form at their local CITGO location or online at http://www.citgo.com/ . Customers were also automatically registered to win each time they made a purchase using their CITGO Plus Credit Card. The drawing for free gas prizes will take place in late August.
