Tyler Walker to Join ASA National Tour at Madison

PENDLETON, Ind. (July 8, 2004) - Tyler Walker, World of Outlaws and USAC Silver
Crown standout, is set to join the ASA National Tour at the BFGoodrich Tires 250 at
Madison International Speedway on July 17.

"I'm real excited and looking forward to being there," Walker said. "I can't wait to get
some good laps and some good quality stock car time in with a good team. It's going to
be a lot of fun."

The 2002 World of Outlaws Gumout Series champion has been making a slow transition
to stock cars. Walker has three starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and has
been helping to practice and qualify Kasey Kahne's NASCAR Busch Series entry when
Kahne has a schedule conflict. A fourth-generation driver, Walker was the USAC Silver
Crown Most Improved Driver in 2003 and won the 2004 season-opening World of
Outlaws event at Manzanita Speedway.

Walker, from Los Angeles, will be driving the No. 70 Ford owned by Terry Kunes, a team
car to the No. 71 Terry's Motorsports Ford piloted by rookie Brett Sontag. A sponsor for
Walker's car has not been named.

According to Kunes, there is a "very strong possibility" that Walker will be in the No. 70
car in all the races remaining on the ASA National Tour schedule.

"I'm pretty committed to racing Tyler in the last eight races of the ASA National Tour this
year, and (there is) a strong possibility that we will race him the whole program next
year," Kunes said.

Walker has one start in ASA National Tour competition in the June 15, 1996 Starvin'
Marvin/Speedway ASA 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. He started the event 33rd, but
engine problems forced an early retirement after 95 laps placing him 27th overall.

The American Speed Association is based in Pendleton, Ind., and has offered racing
programs since 1968, including the ASA National Tour, ASA Late Model Series, several
regional series, and the ASA Member Track programs. For additional information, visit
