Flat Foils Stremme Once Again 
 
Daytona Beach, FL (July 3, 2004) – Team TRIMSPA driver David Stremme 
qualified 25th for this weekend’s Winn-Dixie 250. From the drop of the green it was 
obvious Stremme was headed to the front when he passed seventeen cars in the 
first two laps. Stremme’s TRIMSPA X32 Dodge was strong enough to hold a position 
inside the top 10 for the first half of the race despite the competitive Busch 
Series aero package. 
 
“We had a good car tonight,” said Stremme, driver of the TRIMSPA X32 Dodge. “
It was a top five car. I was trying to give and take a little in the draft, 
but even that wasn’t enough to stay out of trouble.”
 
Stremme climbed into the top five on lap 68, however in a four-wide battle 
for position he was squeezed into the outside wall. Stremme maintained control 
of his Dodge and continued running in the top ten. With the laps winding down 
Stremme looked like he was headed for another top finish until he cut a right 
rear tire on lap 74. The resulting green flag pit stop dropped Stremme a lap 
down to the leaders in 28th place.
 
“I was trying to take care of my car and ride in the outside groove, but when 
they took it four wide I just got pinched into the wall,” said Stremme. “I 
am pretty sure that’s what cut the tire down. It’s just unfortunate because we 
had a great run going and just got caught up in someone else’s mess.”
 
Stremme soldiered on to finish 28th, dropping him two spots in the Busch 
Series points to 16th. Team TRIMSPA will be back on track this Saturday July 10 
for the Twister 300 Busch Series race at Chicagoland Speedway. The event will be 
televised live at 2 p.m. eastern time on NBC and will broadcast nationally at 
that same time on radio stations affiliated with Motor Racing Network (MRN) 
and XM Satellite Radio Channel 144.
