Auto Shanghai Honored by the UFI

SHANGHAI, China, July 1 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC) announced today that Auto Shanghai has become the first automotive exhibition of the Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) in China. Auto Shanghai was honored during the UFI summer conference, held in Zagreb, Croatia.

SIEC is the only member of the UFI in Shanghai. Auto Shanghai is the second exhibition recognized by the organization following SIEC's Die & Mould China.

This year is Auto Shanghai's 19th anniversary. Started in 1985, this show has grown larger and more influential each year, becoming a well-known exhibition brand in China.

The 11th International Automobile and Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, Shanghai (''Auto Shanghai 2005'') under the theme of "A Better Auto, A Better Life," will be held at the Shanghai International Expo Center from April 22 to 28, 2005. With a record 120,000 square meters of exhibition space, Auto Shanghai 2005 aims at being an automotive exhibition that can be recognized on the international arena, and be considered Asia's best.

Quality service is Auto Shanghai 2005's top priority, an important step in attempts to compete with the top five auto exhibitions from around the world. Organizers will take a series of new measures to further improve the service quality. To provide journalists with as much information as possible, the organizers have decided that April 22 will be Press Day, April 23 and 24 will be Professionals Day and April 25 to 28 will be public days. The organizers will import professional exhibition booths and reinforce the ventilation facilities to help the outdoor exhibition. In addition, the organizers will make more room available for the exhibitors and visitors to take rest and will also further improve food and transportation services.
